about

These are the mantras described by Aleister Crowley in Liber ABA (Book Four), arranged and incanted by Stefan Markos. There are nine mantras, each presented with instrumental accompaniment on a variety of medieval and world music instruments, in the Kirtan manner.

Accompanying this album is a series of nine original block print artworks, each corresponding to a mantra from the recording. These block prints were designed, cut, and imprinted by Stefan Markos, and are available directly from the artist. All nine block prints may be seen on the album cover.

NB: It is NOT ADVISABLE to listen to this album while driving or doing any activity that requires mental alertness. These recordings, while not specifically soporific, may induce a state of transcendence that may be a liability while operating heavy equipment.
